STAGING A HOME FOR SALE IN THE CITY – This is a story of the power of staging, this lovely 3-story row home in historic downtown Lancaster sold in just one day. Staging for the main area included rearranging the furniture in the long living room to create several cozy seating areas. In the dining room and kitchen, we declutered and added interesting decor (large baskets, bowls etc.) to draw the eye to interesteing areas of the room we wanted prospective homeowners to notice. Often we pull items from one room to another to create groupings which is relaxing to the eye and invites one to imagine themselves in that spot with a good book and a cup of tea. We re-hung some artwork, added some live plants, and arranged lamps to enhance the lighting, and voila! Often, it only takes simple and subtle changes to transform a room and create better flow.
